Nickell Robey-Coleman entering Eagles' secondary for season

The Philadelphia Eagles and defensive back Nickell Robey-Coleman, formerly of the Los Angeles Rams, have agreed on a 1-year deal, per Josina Anderson of ESPN.

What It Means:

The Rams didn't exercise Robey-Coleman's team option for 2020, but that was due to salary cap problems and not performance-related. Following last week's acquisition of Darius Slay, the Eagles clearly made it a priority to improve the secondary this offseason. Robey-Coleman turned 28 in January.

NRC has graded out at 70.0-plus each of the last four seasons on Pro Football Focus and he finished as the 16th-ranked corner in 2019. He permitted 6.3 yards per target and 1 touchdown last season on a 64.1 completion percentage.
