Dallas Cowboys center Travis Frederick announced his retirement from the NFL on Twitter.
Frederick has been a standout member of one of the NFL's top offensive lines since entering the league. His retirement comes as a surprise, as the five-time Pro-Bowler and 2016 First Team All-Pro is just 29. His retirement is a huge blow to the Cowboys offense.
Frederick regularly carved out huge lanes for his running backs in his seven-year career. Last year, Cowboys rush attempts behind Frederick averaged an incredible 52.03% Rushing Success Rate, while quarterback Dak Prescott was allowed 2.88 seconds to throw on average, one of the longest times in the league.
