Andy Dalton reportedly not part of Patriots "immediate plans"
The New England Patriots are not considering signing Andy Dalton, barring a change, according to Jeff Howe of The Athletic.
The Bengals are running out of trade options for the 32-year-old veteran. Dalton has spent his entire 9-year career with Cincinnati after being drafted with the 35th overall pick in 2011 but looks to be on the way out with the expected arrival of Joe Burrow. The former three-time pro bowler was benched last season for Ryan Finley.
Dalton posted a pass success rate of 43.36% last season, well below the league average of 46.68%. His NEP/P of 0.01 was also below the league average of 0.10.
