Seahawks' Josh Gordon (suspension) intends to play in 2020
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Josh Gordon (suspension) intends to play in 2020, reports ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Gordon was suspended December 16 for violating the NFL's PED and substance-abuse policies, his fifth such suspension since 2013. However, the new CBA is much more forgiving in regards to substance abuse, so Gordon may be given yet another shot at redemption. Fowler says Gordon will need to prove to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell that he's "making steady progress away from the field." Gordon, who turns 29 next month, would become an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career if reinstated.
Gordon had 27 catches on 47 targets for 426 yards and 1 touchdown in 11 games for the New England Patriots and Seahawks last season. He averaged 5.6 FanDuel points per game and his 9.1 yards per target would have ranked in the top-30 among qualified receivers.
