Derrick Henry hit with Titans' franchise tag
The Tennessee Titans placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on running back Derrick Henry.
The non-exclusive designation means Henry can receive offers from other teams that the Titans have the opportunity to match. The reigning rushing champ logged a league-high 303 carries last season and averaged 5.1 a tote, most among any back with 200-plus attempts. The Titans recently released Dion Lewis, a move that could lead to more usage for Henry in the passing game. He only had 18 catches on 24 targets in 15 games last season.
Henry averaged 19.0 FanDuel points per game in 2019, second only to Christian McCaffrey (25.8). He was the only running back in the NFL to average more than 100 rushing yards per game (102.7).
