Schefter: Ryan Tannehill nearing multi-year contract extension with Titans
Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill is on the verge of signing a new multi-year deal with the team.
Earlier in the offseason, there were reports of the Titans having an interest in Tom Brady, but they appear set to extend Tannehill instead. An extension would prevent the Titans from using their franchise tag on Tannehill, and tie him to the team for the foreseeable future. It now appears likely that Tannehill will return to Tennessee after helping to engineer a remarkable mid-season turnaround that included postseason victories over the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens.
Tannehill averaged 228.5 yards, 1.8 touchdowns, and 18.2 FanDuel points per game in his 2019-2020 season.
