Buccaneers to involve running backs in Week 16 passing game

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said the offense is going to have to incorporate the running backs in the passing game in Week 16 against the Houston Texans on Sunday.

What It Means:

"I think we’re doing a really good job of finding backs underneath stuff now, not just forcing it down the field," Arians said. "That’s something we have to really look into, who’s available, what to do in this game plan on a short week." Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Scotty Miller are all sidelined with hamstring injuries, so the Bucs are running low on healthy wide receivers. Dare Ogunbowale leads the backfield with 32 receptions, followed by Ronald Jones (26), and Peyton Barber (14).

The Texans are allowing the ninth-most FanDuel points per game to opposing backfields (23.6).
