Washington's Josh Norman to be healthy scratch in Week 12
Washington Redskins defensive back Josh Norman will be a healthy scratch on Sunday in the team's Week 12 game against the Detroit Lions, according to Erin Hawksworth of The Athletic.
Just a couple years after signing the biggest contract in NFL history for a cornerback to that point, Norman has been completely ineffective this season. He's allowed a league-high seven touchdowns this season, and it's telling that one of the most talent-deficient teams in football is comfortable sitting the former All-Pro.
In nine games this season, Norman has 35 tackles, one sack, six pass breakups, an interception and a forced fumble. He rates as Pro Football Focus' No. 106 cornerback out of 114 qualified players.
