Patrick Kane dishes out assist as Blackhawks snap winning streak

Chicago Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane contributed an assist in a 2-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday night.

What It Means:

The Blackhawks scored 43 seconds into the game when Kane set up Artem Anisimov, but the Lightning shut the door afterward and scored two goals of their own to end Chicago's 12-game winning streak.

Kane is having a special season. He leads the league in goals (30), assists (42) and points (72) after 50 games. We project him to record 17 more goals with 25 more assists over the remainder of the season, which would give him 114 points for the year. Kane's current career high for points in a season is 88. His 53.7 Corsi For Percentage is below his career average (55.2) while his 2.0 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength is his best mark since 2011-'12.
