Matthew Stafford (back) plans to return for Lions this season
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford (back) said he intends to return this season.
Stafford missed the last two games and seems headed for another absence in Week 12, but he intends to return before the end of the season. "If I’m healthy enough to go play, I’m going to go play,” the veteran quarterback stated. Unless Stafford is surprisingly cleared by Sunday, Jeff Driskel will draw another start against the Washington Redskins.
Stafford has completed 64.3 percent of his passes for 2,499 yards (8.6 per attempt), 19 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions in eight games this season. He's averaging 21.4 FanDuel points per game. Driskel is the QB17 in numberFire's Week 12 fantasy rankings.
