Matt Breida to reportedly miss 1-2 weeks for 49ers with low-ankle sprain
San Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida (ankle) is expected to miss 1-2 weeks, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Breida aggravated a low-ankle sprain in Monday night's Week 10 overtime loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Raheem Mostert will likely take over for Breida as Tevin Coleman's backfield mate. The 49ers have an advantageous matchup against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 11.
Mostert is averaging 90.0 scrimmage yards in games with double-digit touches this season. The Cardinals are 24th in the NFL against the run (126.0 yards allowed per game).
