Jaguars' Gardner Minshew could retain starting job when Nick Foles (collarbone) returns
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew has a "chance" of sticking at starting quarterback in the team's Week 11 game after the bye week, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Minshew has been filling in admirably in the stead of Nick Foles, who hasn't played since breaking his collarbone in the season opener. The Jaguars will be going on a bye after their London game against the Texans, after which Foles is expected to return. Jacksonville seems intent on making good on their large-money investment into Foles, but if Minshew continues to excel and lead the team to victories, he could keep the job through Foles' return.
In eight games this season (before the London game), Minshew has completed 161 of his 260 (61.9 percent) of his passes for 1,976 yards and 13 touchdowns against two interceptions.
