Kenyan Drake to play 'in some capacity' for Cardinals Thursday
Arizona Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake will play "in some capacity" on Thursday night against the San Francisco 49ers, head coach Kliff Kingsbury said.
Kingsbury said he expects to use a backfield committee featuring Drake, Zach Zenner, and Alfred Morris on Thursday. Chase Edmonds (hamstring) has been officially ruled out and David Johnson (ankle) is considered to be on the wrong side of questionable. The Cardinals are 10.5-point home underdogs against the 49ers, so the offense may be forced to abandon the run early.
Drake is the RB28 in numberFire's Week 9 fantasy rankings. Our models project him for 10.2 FanDuel points in Week 9, at a cost of $5,500 on the full slate and $11,500 on the Thursday-only slate.
