J.J. Watt (pec) officially done for Texans in 2019
Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt is officially out for the season with a torn pec, confirms Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Watt suffered the injury during Sunday's 27-24, Week 8 win over the Oakland Raiders. The 30-year-old has now finished three of the last four seasons on injured reserve. It's an obvious downgrade for the Texans on defense. Houston will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday morning in Week 9.
Watt recorded 4 sacks, 3 pass deflections, and 1 forced fumble in eight games this season.
