MRI confirms Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes has dislocated kneecap
An MRI has confirmed that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has a dislocated right kneecap, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Mahomes, who was already dealing with a bad ankle, suffered the knee injury on a quarterback sneak during Thursday night's game against the Denver Broncos. The rumored timeline for his return is around three weeks, during which Matt Moore will be tasked with running the Chiefs' dynamic aerial attack, unless of course Kansas City makes a move for a quarterback in Mahomes' stead.
In six-plus games this season, Mahomes has completed 157 of his 241 pass attempts for 2,180 yards, 15 touchdowns and just one interception.
