Patrick Mahomes (knee) reportedly out for Chiefs at least 3 weeks

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will miss at least 3 weeks due to a dislocated kneecap, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

What It Means:

Mahomes is undergoing an MRI on Friday to determine the full extent of the injury, but "there is some real optimism" he will be able to play through the ailment after three weeks, according to Rapoport. The 24-year-old super quarterback limped off the field Thursday night against the Denver Broncos in the second quarter. Matt Moore is currently the Chiefs' QB1.

Mahomes has completed 65.1 percent of his passes for 2,180 yards (9.0 per attempt) with 15 touchdowns and 1 interception this season. He also has 82 rushing yards.
