Chargers' Philip Rivers optimistic despite team's injuries heading into Week 6
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers was optimistic about the team's outlook this season when speaking to reporters this week. He said "There's just so much ball left. We've started 2-3 in some of the best, record-wise, seasons in the 15 years I've been here.".
Rivers also said that he is hoping the team weathers the storm injury-wise and finds a way to get a win. The Chargers will have an excellent chance to start to find their way in Week 6 when they host a Pittsburgh Steelers team with fourth-string quarterback Devlin Hodges under center. While the Chargers defense has a great opportunity, Rivers has a more difficult task facing a Steelers pass defense rated 6th overall by our power rankings.
numberFire's models project Rivers for 22.7 completions, 265.1 yards, 1.69 touchdowns, .80 interceptions, and 16.8 FanDuel points on Sunday night. He is priced at $7,700 on the Sunday-Monday slate and $15,000 on the single-game Sunday night slate.
