Vernon Davis

Vernon Davis (concussion) out for Washington in Week 6

Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis will not play on Sunday in the team's Week 6 game against the Miami Dolphins.

What It Means:

Davis is still in the NFL's concussion protocol, and he won't be cleared in time for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Davis is the second Redskins tight end to miss time with a concussion, as Jordan Reed has been held out all season long with one of his own. Jeremy Sprinkle is going to be the de-facto option at tight end in the other two's stead.

In four games this season, Davis has 10 catches for 123 yards and a touchdown.
