Christian McCaffrey's (back) 'Wednesday off day' new norm for Panthers
Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey's (back) "Wednesday off day" is the new norm, head coach Ron Rivera said.
McCaffrey leads the NFL with 105 carries and is tied for 11th with 31 receptions. He's handled the league's largest workload by a healthy margin, so the Panthers understandably want to manage the young back's reps, but McCaffrey will be fine for Sunday's Week 6 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in London. He was held to a season-low 53 yards from scrimmage when the two teams met in Week 2. McCaffrey has averaged 203.3 yards in every other game.
numberFire's models project McCaffrey for 148.4 offensive yards, 1.03 touchdowns, and 23.9 FanDuel points, at a cost of $9,700, across the pond. Despite facing the second-ranked run defense in the NFL, he's the RB1 in our Week 6 fantasy rankings.
