Evan Engram (knee) reportedly expected to sit for Giants Thursday night
New York Giants tight end Evan Engram (knee) is unlikely to play Thursday night's Week 6 matchup against the New England Patriots, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Schefter says Engram is dealing with an MCL sprain. The tight end will likely be joined on the sidelines by Saquon Barkley (ankle), Wayne Gallman (concussion), and Sterling Shepard (concussion), leaving Daniel Jones with little to work with against a defense that hasn't allowed any passing touchdowns this season. Golden Tate, Darius Slayton, and Cody Latimer are set up to be the Giants' top receivers.
The Giants face a Patriots defense in Week 6 that is allowing just 160.4 passing yards per game with 11 interceptions.
