Tevin Coleman turns 16 carries to 97 yards, touchdown for 49ers in return

San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman rushed 16 times for 97 yards and 1 touchdown in a 31-3, Week 5 win over the Cleveland Browns on Monday night.

What It Means:

Matt Breida was the nominal starter in the 49ers' backfield, but Coleman actually out-carried his teammate 16-11 in his first game since injuring his ankle in the opener. Coleman's first touchdown of the season was a 19-yard run in the second quarter. He's averaging an impressive 5.5 yards per carry through two games in one of the best rushing schemes in the NFL, so splitting work with Breida shouldn't prevent Coleman from returning fantasy value. The 49ers face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6.

Coleman scored 15.7 FanDuel points on Monday. He's the RB23 in numberFire's Week 6 fantasy rankings, at a cost of $5,000. The Rams are 15th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game, but tied for 7th in rushing yards allowed per carry.
