Rapoport: Jets' Sam Darnold (mono) out 3-7 weeks
New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold will reportedly be out longer than most expected, with the absence potentially lasting more than a month.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the timeline for Darnold's absence is reportedly three-to-seven weeks, which could put the second-year passer out until November at worst. He's reportedly being quarantined and won't report back to the team until he's medically cleared, and for now, it'll be Trevor Siemian's team.
On 41 attempts in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills, Darnold completed 28 passes for 175 yards, a touchdown and 11.0 FanDuel points.
