Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn said the team is "hopeful" tight end Hunter Henry (knee) will return this season.
The Chargers aren't putting Henry on injured reserve, leaving the door open for him to return later in the year. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Henry is facing a 4-6 week absence. The talented 24-year-old missed the entire 2018 regular season while recovering from a torn ACL. It wouldn't be a surprise if the Chargers decide to bring Antonio Gates back into the fold.
Henry caught 4 passes on 5 targets for 60 yards in the Chargers' Week 1 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
