Chicago Bears tight end Trey Burton is inactive on Thursday in the team's game against the Green Bay Packers.
It's not the way Burton would have wanted his season to start, but in Week 1 against the Packers, he'll be sidelined with a groin injury. It's unclear if he'll be able to give it a go by next week's game, but given the 10-day gap in between, he will have a higher likelihood of suiting up. For tonight's game, expect Adam Shaheen and Ben Braunecker to get extended opportunities.
In 16 games last season, Burton caught 54 passes for 569 yards and scored six touchdowns.
