Ravens will go with the "hot hand" at running back, OC says
Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman said that Mark Ingram is the team's starting running back but that the team will go with the "hot hand." Ravens OC Greg Roman told reporters Thursday that while Mark Ingram is the team's starting running back, everybody is going to contribute.
"Everyone is going to contribute," Roman said. This is good news for Justice Hill and Gus Edwards, as there should be enough carries to go around. Baltimore led the league season in rush attempts (547 or over 34 per game). Among the team's backs, Gus Edwards led the way in carries, but only received 137 (25% of the team's rush attempts).
Our models project Ingram to rush for 928.7 yards and 7.4 touchdowns, compared to 252.4 and 4.0 for Edwards and 260.5 and 1.8 for Hill.
