Steelers' DeAngelo Williams (foot) back in walking boot

Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams (foot) is back in a walking boot on Wednesday.

What It Means:

He's not practicing Wednesday, and Williams has already been classified as facing an "uphill battle" to play Sunday against the Denver Broncos. Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday Williams is "on the outside looking in" for the Divisional Round. Fitzgerald Toussaint and Jordan Todman will carry the load after the two combined for 183 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals.

In the win over Cincinnati, Todman finished with 0.53 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) on 11 carries while Toussaint had -2.03 Rushing NEP on 17 attempts. Denver ranks fifth in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play. Williams was a revelation this year, and his play made the loss of Le'Veon Bell easier to swallow. Among backs with 100 carries, Williams ended the regular season ranked third in Rushing NEP per carry with a clip of 0.07.
