Cardinals place Cory Redding, Alex Okafor on injured reserve
Arizona Cardinals outside linebacker/edge rusher Alex Okafor has been placed on the reserve/NFI list with a toe injury, ending his season.
It's a very surprising move, as Okafor just started in Week 17. He's been deactivated with the "non-football injury" designation. Okafor apparently suffered a season-ending issue away from the team during last week's bye.
Okafor played 622 snaps, registering two sacks. His loss mostly hurts for depth purposes, as defensive end Cory Redding (ankle) is also done for the year. Arizona ranks seventh in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play.
