Marcus Mariota not locked in as Titans' starter
The Tennessee Titans' starting quarterback job "looks surprisingly wide open," according to Ben Volin of The Boston Globe.
Ryan Tannehill has outperformed Marcus Mariota through two preseason games and appears to be forcing a position battle under center in Tennessee. Volin believes Mariota "won't be on a long leash" if he starts Week 1.
Mariota is currently the QB23 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. He's projected for 3,410.5 passing yards with 19.74 touchdowns and 13.4 interceptions, with another 378.0 rushing yards and 3.37 touchdowns.
