Seahawks' Marshawn Lynch 'never felt quite right' at practice

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch (abdomen) "never felt quite right" at practice this week, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

What It Means:

Lynch reportedly suffered a setback at Friday's practice and told his coaches he couldn't play right before the team boarded its flight to Minnesota. A Seahawks source told ESPN's Ed Werder that Lynch's decision to stay home "seemed very sudden." That phrasing would suggest Seattle isn't on the same page with its star running back. While the Seahawks are clearly frustrated Lynch wasn't able to gut it out in the most important game of the season, they should be in good hands with running back Christine Michael, who has rushed for 80-plus yards in two of his last three games.

The Seahawks figure to have a backfield committee with Lynch out, however, between Michael and Bryce Brown. Our algorithms favor Michael ever-so-slightly today, projecting him for 7.73 carries for 33.12 rushing yards and 0.37 touchdowns. He should also pick up 1.72 receptions for 12.64 receiving yards.
