Seahawks' Marshawn Lynch downgraded to out for Sunday

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch (abdomen) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's Wild Card game against the Minnesota Vikings.

What It Means:

Lynch suffered a setback on Friday and told the team after practice that he felt like he couldn't play. It now appears it'll be the Christine Michael show yet again at running back following his first career 100-yard game in the Week 17 finale. Bryce Brown figures to get his fair share of touches too, possibly serving as a change-of-pace back.

It remains to be seen if Lynch can get right for the Divisional Round, if Seattle wins at Minnesota. There is a chance we've seen the last of Lynch this season, which could mean the last of Lynch in Seattle. Among backs with at least 100 attempts in 2015, Lynch ranked 28th in Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per carry. Thomas Rawls, who is on the books just $525,000 next season, ranked second in Rushing NEP per carry. Lynch is owed a whopping $9 million in 2016.
