New Orleans Saints tight end Jared Cook is standing out at training camp, per comments from head coach Sean Payton and tight ends coach Dan Campbell.
"I think he’s been a really good addition for us,” Payton praised. Campbell described Cook as a playmaker and commented on his ability to create separation. Saints reporter Mike Triplett of ESPN adds that the 32-year-old has emerged as a "go-to pass catcher" for Drew Brees and that it's "impossible to ignore" his performance at camp. Cook is coming off a career year with the Oakland Raiders and it appears he's making a great first impression in New Orleans.
Cook is among the top-10 tight ends in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. Our models have him pegged for 68.3 targets, 50.4 receptions, 707.2 yards, and 5.29 touchdowns.
