Redskins' Matt Jones (hip) questionable for Sunday
Washington Redskins running back Matt Jones (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday's Wild Card game against the Green Bay Packers.
He was able to put in a limited practice on Friday. Washington coach Jay Gruden said he's "not very encouraged" by Jones' status. That would suggest he's on the doubtful side of questionable. Pierre Thomas could get more run in the likely event that Jones sits on Sunday, with Chris Thompson and Alfred Morris likely shouldering most of the load.
Among the 44 backs with 100 attempts this season, Jones ranked last in Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play while Morris checked in 37th. Thompson was one of 33 backs to see at least 40 targets. Among that group, he ranked 17th in Reception NEP per target.
