Jimmy Garoppolo will not play in Niners' preseason opener
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will not play in the preseason opener on Saturday.
The Niners laid out the preseason plan for Garoppolo, saying he will play in Games 2 and 3 while sitting out the other two exhibition games. The quarterback is expected to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season without any limitations. Garoppolo suffered a season-ending knee injury on September 23 of last season.
Our models project Garoppolo for 4,052.2 passing yards, 23.3 touchdowns, and 13.1 interceptions on 523.9 pass attempts in 2019. He is our QB22 for fantasy leagues.
