Baltimore's Lamar Jackson expecting to run less

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson said on Thursday, "I don't think I'll be running as much as I did last year."

What It Means:

Jackson replied with interesting comments on Thursday by stating he is likely to pass over using his legs to gain yardage in this year's new offense. "There were a lot of run-pass options and a lot of sudden changes in last year's game," said the Ravens' quarterback. "This will be totally different. I've been throwing the ball a lot in practice, way more than running."

Even if Jackson does run less, we can still expect the speedster to provide a high fantasy floor with his legs and an enormous ceiling if he can progress as a passer. For the upcoming season, our models project Jackson to produce 270.4 completions for 3,358.7 yards and 16.8 touchdowns and 899.6 yards and 7.1 rushing touchdowns on 192.1 attempts.
