Chiefs want Damien Williams to be 'the full-time starter for the year'
Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams is expected to start full-time this season.
According to head coach Andy Reid, the Chiefs are expecting Williams to produce in a full-time role as their starting running back after a successful stint in the second half of last season. "He's taken that challenge. He wants to do this thing," said Reid. "He's earned the right to be that guy. And now it's a matter of production."
For the 2019 season, our models project Williams to produce 952.9 rushing yards and 8.5 touchdowns on 205.1 attempts and 421.8 receiving yards and 3.6 touchdowns on 51.8 receptions. Expect Williams to start the season in a three-down role unless we hear otherwise.
