Steven Jackson will be active Sunday for Patriots
New England Patriots running back Steven Jackson will be active Sunday against the New York Jets NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Signed this week, Jackson is unlikely to see significant work against the Jets, but you never know.
The lack of a guaranteed workload plus a tough matchup make Jackson extremely difficult to play in Week 16. New York ranks second in Adjusted Defensive Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. In 2014, among backs with at least 90 attempts, Jackson ranked 20th in Rushing NEP per carry.
