Houston's Brian Hoyer is concerned by latest concussion
Houston Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer is "concerned" after suffering his second concussion in a month Sunday night against the New England Patriots, ESPN's Ed Werder reports.
Werder reports Hoyer is expected "to be out for a while." At this point, it would not be surprising if he is headed to injured reserve. T.J. Yates will start as long as Hoyer is sidelined.
Among passers with at least 100 drop backs, Hoyer ranks 18th in Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back. In limited action this season, including one start, Yates is 22-of-47 for 302 yards, three scores and zero picks. The Texans face off with the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15 in a key AFC South clash. The Colts rank 26th in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per drop back.
