C.J. Anderson

Broncos' C.J. Anderson (ankle) may dress Sunday

Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson (ankle) did not practice at all this week, but Denver coach Gary Kubiak left open the possibility of Anderson being active for Week 14.

What It Means:

Kubiak announced Ronnie Hillman (foot) as the Broncos' Week 14 starter on Friday, adding that Anderson's ankle remains "very sore." We're guessing here, but it sounds like Juwan Thompson is the favorite to be the second back through the rotation, with Anderson perhaps being active in case of an emergency.

Anderson is just 43rd in Total Net Expected Points (NEP) among running backs with at least 60 opportunities through Week 13. The Denver running game gets a nice matchup in Week 14 against the Oakland Raiders, who sit 27th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play.
