Steelers sign Donte Moncrief to 2-year contract
The Pittsburgh Steelers and wide receiver Donte Moncrief, formerly of the Jacksonville Jaguars, agreed to terms on a 2-year contract, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Moncrief only averaged 3.0 receptions and 41.8 yards per game during his single season in Jacksonville, but the regression of Blake Bortles may be more culpable for the underwhelming output. Turning 26 in August, Moncrief will likely compete for number-two receiving duties behind Juju Smith-Schuster on a Steelers' offense that will be without Antonio Brown for the first time since 2009.
Moncrief finished 2018 with 668 yards and 3 touchdowns on 48 receptions (89 targets). The receptions and yards were personal-highs since 2015.
