The Atlanta Falcons agreed to terms with left guard James Carpenter, formerly of the New York Jets, on a 4-year contract, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Carpenter missed the last six games of 2018 due to a shoulder injury, but he performed as one of the superior pass-blocking guards in the game at the beginning of the year. Carpenter became expendable when the Jets acquired left guard Kelechi Osemele from the Oakland Raiders last week.
