Teddy Bridgewater reportedly rejects Dolphins, staying in New Orleans
The New Orleans Saints are expected to re-sign Teddy Bridgewater, per Jane Slater of the NFL Network.
According to Slater, Bridgewater turned down more money from the Dolphins -- as well as a chance at the starting job -- to stay in New Orleans and potentially one day take over for Drew Brees under center. The culture in the Saints' locker room was also noted as a contributing factor. Bridgewater is still just 26.
Bridgewater has completed 64.6 percent of his passes for 6,268 yards (7.2 per attempt) with 29 touchdowns and 23 interceptions over 35 career games. He's also rushed 105 times for 403 yards and 4 touchdowns.
