The New England Patriots assigned an original-round tender to restricted free agent wide receiver Josh Gordon, reports Ben Volin of the Boston Globe.
If any team wants to sign Gordon away from New England, they will now have to give up a second-round pick to do so. Turning 28 next month, Gordon will receive $2.025 million in 2019 if he's reinstated.
Gordon caught 41 passes on 71 targets for 737 yards and 4 touchdowns last season.
