The Detroit Lions signed tight end Jesse James, formerly of the Pittsburgh Steelers, reports Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
The Lions have been active shoppers on Monday, as James is reportedly their fourth signing of the day. He should have a solid shot at earning the starting job in Detroit. James turns 25 in June.
James caught 30 passes for 423 yards and 2 touchdowns on 39 targets last season.
