Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier (back) has recently resumed jogging, team president Art Rooney II said.
"Almost every week, he’s doing something he wasn’t doing the week before," Rooney said. "He’s a remarkable young man and an inspiration to everybody around here." Shazier was unable to walk on his own a year ago and hasn't played football since 2017. Rooney says the Steelers want to re-sign him this offseason so he can continue his rehab. Shazier turns 27 in August.
Shazier has 299 tackles (228 solo), 7 sacks, 7 forced fumbles, and 7 interceptions in 46 career games over four seasons.
