Dan Herron expected to take on Ahmad Bradshaw's role for Colts

The Indianapolis Colts' official website expects running back Dan Herron to take on most of Ahmad Bradshaw's (wrist, IR) workload.

What It Means:

Bradshaw averaged 8.5 touches a game over the final four of his season before ending it on Injured Reserve, and he had at least seven touches in every game over that span. Herron showed he can be a solid fantasy contributor when given the touches late last season, and he should get a decent amount of work behind banged-up veteran Frank Gore.

On 78 rushing attempts in 2014, Herron accumulated an average-at-best -2.69 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP). Bradshaw's role was primarily as the passing-down back, however, so his -0.88 Target NEP on 26 targets last year is more concerning.
