Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis is unlikely to play on Sunday in the team's Week 17 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Davis was out last week with a concussion as well, and with the Redskins having nothing to play for in the season finale, it makes little sense to risk a more severe injury with the veteran.
In 14 games this season, Davis caught 25 catches for 367 yards and two touchdowns.
