Carolina Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson (shoulder) has been placed on injured reserve.
What It Means:
Thompson has been dealing with a shoulder injury all season, so the Panthers opted to sit him down for the final two weeks of the season. He recorded 26 tackles and a sack over the first four games of the season as a starter while Thomas Davis was suspended.
Thompson finishes the season with 76 tackles (61 solo), 3.5 sacks, and 1 forced fumble in 14 games.
