Carson Wentz reportedly has fracture in back, Eagles evaluating availability
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has a fractured vertebra in his back, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Wentz will not require surgery, but the fracture requires rest to fully heal, so the Eagles may opt to hold him out for the rest of the season. If that's the case, reigning Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles will take over as the starter.
Wentz is averaging 18.2 FanDuel points through 11 games this season, with 279.5 passing yards per game, 21 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions.
