Steelers could use transition tag on Le'Veon Bell for 2019 season
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell could receive the transition tag in the offseason, according to ESPN.
Bell decided not to play under a $14.5 million franchise tag this year, but he could be in a similar position next season as well. Of course, a team could give him an offer sheet under the rules of the transition tag, and Pittsburgh would then be forced to match it or let him go.
In 15 games last season, Bell had 1,291 rushing yards, 85 catches for 655 receiving yards, and 11 total touchdowns.
