Le'Veon Bell does not report to Pittsburgh on Tuesday, ineligible to play this season

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell has decided to not report to the team by the 4 p.m. ET deadline, ending his season before it could even begin.

What It Means:

There were numerous reports throughout the season of various dates Bell would decide to show up at practice, but the All-Pro runner never arrived. James Conner has played extremely well in his stead, but it's hard to replace one of the best running backs in football. Unless the Steelers decide to give Bell a $25 million franchise tag, he will become a free agent who can sign with whichever team he so chooses.

Last season, Bell tallied 1,295 rushing yards, 85 catches for 655 receiving yards, and 11 total touchdowns.
